Azelaic acid is an organic compound with the molecular formula C9H16O4. It appears as a white to slightly yellow monoclinic crystal, needle like crystal, or powder. Used as a plasticizer and in alkyd resins, paints, and chemical synthesis. Irritating to the skin, eyes, mucous membranes, and upper respiratory tract, inhalation or ingestion is harmful to the body. It is harmful to the environment and can cause pollution to water and atmosphere.

This product has no systemic adverse reactions. Local skin irritation mainly includes erythema, itching, scales, and burning sensation, with an incidence rate of 5% to 10%. It is generally mild and transient, and gradually disappears 2-4 weeks after treatment. Compared with ordinary anti acne drugs, this product is well tolerated.
